• Vascular Access Become Certified™ — a structured educational curriculum
• Vascular Access Board Certified — a professional credential demonstrating clinical competency
VA-BC® was first established by registrants in 2009 and has been continuous use since 2010.
The VA-BC® is owned by its registrants William J. Hart RN and Josephine Brandon, NLPC and issued through VA-BC® Training Center, LLC.

VA-BC® represents two integrated components,
• Vascular Access Become Certified™ — a structured proprietary educational and training curriculum system designed to prepare healthcare professionals in vascular access practices
• Vascular Access Board Certified — a credential representing demonstrated knowledge, training, safety and competency in vascular access

VA-BC® Credential, is a vascular access credential created by William J. Hart RN and Josephine Brandon, NLPC the founders of the VA-BC®
