Brandon-Hart™ represents the founding registrants of the VA-BC® vascular access credentialing system. The VA-BC® framework, including its curriculum, training structure, and credentialing model, was developed by its registrants in 2009 and placed into commerce in 2010, with continuous use since its inception.

Brandon-Hart™ represents William J. Hart and Josephine Brandon, the originating founders and registrants of the VA-BC® vascular access education and credentialing system.

Who are BRANDON-HART™

Brandon-Hart™ refers to the combined founding and registrant identity of William J. Hart, RN, and Josephine Brandon, NLPC, who developed the VA-BC® credentialing system and established its structured approach to vascular access education, training, and credentialing.

Brandon-Hart™ are the founders of the Seven Pillars framework, also known as the Brandon-Hart™ Pillars™, which form the structured foundation of vascular access education, training, and competency development within the VA-BC® credentialing system. All identify their complete, unique, proprietary education and training system of credentialing pillars, within seven major areas of vascular access training, competency and safety within the entire

VA-BC® credentialing system.

Origin of VA-BC®

The VA-BC® system originated in 2009 through the development of a structured vascular access educational framework designed to improve clinical competency, patient safety, and standardized training practices. The system was placed into commerce in 2010 and has been continuously used since its inception. The VA-BC® credentialing system represents an integrated framework of education, training, and competency-based evaluation developed and controlled by its registrants.

VA-BC® System Development

The VA-BC® system was developed as an integrated model consisting of:

  • Structured vascular access education based on Vascular Access Become Certified™ curriculum

  • Clinical application and skill development based on the Seven Pillars framework developed by

    VA-BC® registrants

  • Competency-based evaluation aligned with VA-BC® standards

  • Training designed to support safe vascular access practices

  • Training and allowance of placement of FDA medical devices in accordance with federal and state laws and scope of care laws.

  • VA-BC® Vascular Access Board Certification

The VA-BC® credentialing system represents an integrated framework of education, training, and competency-based evaluation developed and controlled by its registrants.

The Brandon-Hart™ origin represents the foundation of the VA-BC® system. Only programs, curriculum, and credentials delivered through the official VA-BC® framework represent the original system developed by its registrants. Any use of VA-BC® outside of this framework is not affiliated with the originating system.
